Reasons to Bring your Band to the 25th Annual Madison Central Tournament of Bands!

The Directors and Staff of the Madison Central Band are honored to invite your band to participate in the 24th annual Madison Central Tournament of Bands at Madison Central High School on September 18, 2010! We have a great show featuring some of the finest bands in Kentucky (and the nation) and we hope to showcase your outstanding group as part of this afternoon of  outstanding pageantry and music making.  As always, the Tournament of Bands will be held as a prelims finals format with the number of finalists depending on the number of entrys.  This year's contest will also feature the EKU Marching Colonels in exhibition.

Our contest offers many advantages to consider when choosing a contest for September the 18:

1.  Our School is very centrally located.  We  offer very easy access from both I-75 and I-64. In this day of astronomical transportation bills, we are a short distance on good roads from most of the schools in Kentucky.

2. Our field-and school-are in the best shape of my 17 year tenure at Madison Central.  Recent changes in our athletic administration have resulted in a lush and full Bermuda grass football field that is immaculately groomed.

3. A professional parent organization that is deeply committed to young people, and has many collective years of organizing a phenomenal competitive event. Our parents understand that the contest is not just about making money-they are very committed to music education and student centered musical experiences.

4.  A large, recently refurbished physical facility with lots of space and comfort for you and your students.

5. A large, centrally located hospitality room with some of the very best food in Central Kentucky!

6. A recently completed parking lot within several hundred feet of the stadium. Spectator parking is convenient in close. We will provide handicapped parking directly into the stadium.

7.  Easy access to a wide array of restaurants.

8.  Most important, a judging  panel of  highly accomplished and successful music educators that are committed to proving quality, POSITIVE, feedback that will assist in your bands growth as you progress throughout the season.
